Who I am

I am Kwan Shing Lau(Alex). I was born in Hong Kong, where teaching sign language first lit a fire in me to help people with hearing loss communicate confidently. That passion took me abroad for a Bachelor’s at the University of Texas at Dallas and back to Australia for a Master of Clinical Audiology at the University of Melbourne. 

Since 2021, I’ve been proudly serving the Riverland—bringing modern, evidence-based care with a friendly approach, from thorough assessments to personalised hearing solutions and aftercare that actually sticks. I love living here and being part of our community through RTTA and the local woodworking group.

My experience is built on genuine care, calm problem-solving, and an easy-going style that helps clients feel at ease from the first hello. I take time to listen, explain options, and tailor solutions that fit real life—not just test results. 
In ear-wax removal, I use gentle micro-suction under direct vision for safe, comfortable outcomes, and many clients now visit specifically for this service after positive experiences. I follow through with practical tips, quick check-ins, and timely reviews. The result is consistently strong word-of-mouth and appreciative feedback from people who leave hearing more clearly and feeling well cared for.
